I am trying to configure my DNS server in NT.
I have a preferred and secondary DNS server in my TCP/IP properties (but they are only external).
When I try and set up the reverse and/or forward lookups, I still can't ping the DNS name. When I try and create an "A" record and check to create the pointer record, I get an error that it can't create the pointer record probably because the Reverse-Lookup Zone can't be located.
If the ip of my NT server is aa.bbb.c.dd, then how should the Reverse-Lookup look like?
Furthermore, in the Forward-Lookup the DNS name should be whatever I call it, right? (since its ony internal)
