how much time will it take to update the DNS servers in case of an IP change for a website,

This is very variable. The main reason being is that most ISP's and indeed even your own PC caches DNS replies.

Whilst you can refresh your own PC's DNS cache at any time, you cannot refresh an ISP's DNS cache. An ISP may choose to refresh their DNS cache every 12 hours to save their precious bandwidth. Yet another may choose to update their cache only every 24 hours.

So im summary, there is no set time limit. However typically I would say full propogation of the DNS record can occur between 24-72 hours.
