I have a question that i cannot find a clear answer to. If I turn on scavenging at the server level, does it scavenge PTR records in my reverse lookup zone? I always assumed that it did BUT I just noticed today that I have records that have a timestamp of being stale in March, but they are still present. I have checked all of my A-Records and there is nothing past the scavenge period.

Any ideas?

After further investigation, I found that 1 reverse lookup zone was not setup for aging/scavenging. This does not make sense though. I setup aging/scavenging at the server level, not zone levels. For some reason every zone except this one is inheriting the aging/scavenging settings. How could this happen?

I have now set it manually, but I have no idea how it did not inherit the settings.
