DNS Server query??

I'm writing an intrusion detection application in which i need to acquire public DNS I.P.'s. Could I possibly do this in Delphi or should i look elsewhere to Perl or C++? If i can do this in Delphi what are the steps i need to take? Can i query a public database and then store the information? If i could how do i go about doing this? Any and all detailed direction would be really awesome. Thanx..
