Hello,
I've 2 pc's set up running rh7.1
On pc one I can get on the internet no problem once I entered the proper nameservers under the names tag using the network configurator.

On pc two I can't get connected to the net.
My question is that is there a problem with both pc's having identical resolve.conf file. (eg)
search inhere.com
nameserver 206.171.50.50
nameserver 206.171.50.55
Any clues what the problem may be?

having the same values in your /etc/resolve.conf file should not be a problem... try connecting to an IP address of a web siet u know on this other machine.. if it works..then u know u have network on it... if it doesn't.. even after pinging..then it could be a problem with its connection to the network....

if it does work and trying to access the web site by its name is futile, then ensure u have the correct DNS entries in your /etc/resolve.conf .. and that DNS server has no ACLs for which machines can use it to do DNS...

good luck..
