The hows and whys are another issue, but a cisco switch was added to our netowrk, that somehow duplicated the server ip address, and (naturally) I got a bunch of errors. The rogue switch is now under lock and key, but there are a few things not quite right - for instance, workstation import quit working, while workstation removal goes merrily on its way. Can I "unload" and "reload" DNS, and if so, how, or does this require a reboot?
Netware 6, ZENworks for desktops 4.01
Thanks

If you simply want to stop and restart the DNS "service", simply go to the netware command prompt and type UNLOAD NAMED.

If you're talking about reconfiguring DNS objects, that's a different story. Let us know. You would use the following utility to manage the objects - DNS/DHCP Management Console

Thanks goombawaho

it was unload and reload named that I needed. Everything looks proper in DNS/DHCP management, but all of a sudden things stopped working - which is expected if you have dup ip addresses. Anyway, we're back on track.
Thanks
