I have a DNS server on which I just made a standard change for one of the domains hosted on the server. I simply changed the IP address for the "www" entry in the domain's zonefile, and then I used "kill -HUP" to restart named.
Following that, if I ping the domain in question from a computer that is using the DNS server in question, the domain resolves to the new IP. Also, if I do an nslookup and set the server to the DNS server in question, the domain resolves to the new IP. However, if I ping the domain from the DNS server itself, it still resolves to the old IP.
Can anyone tell me why that is and how I can correct it?
Thanks
