DNS question (records for routers, switches, etc)

We are about to implement a network monitoring solution that will talk to all routers, switches, printers, etc; but there has to be records of these objects in DNS, both forward and reverse. Will adding all the records to DNS cause any issues of any kind. I would say there are about 200 records that would need to be added.
