DNS ping failed on router 1

Hi All,
I'm trying to help my sister in law get her broadband router working.
It connects to the web and finds google really fast but then hangs for ages when you select a page from anywhere else.
Its the DNS lookup that's the problem according to the diagnostics. The router is set to get the DNS servers dynamically but this is clearly failing - does anyone know the IP addresses of the orange DNS servers (UK). I can't find them anywhere and orange don't respond.

Failing that has anyone got any idead what else could be the issue. Thanks.

I've used the following, although not sure if they're still up to date. I think the last two are the earliest ones:-

195.92.195.94
195.92.195.95
194.152.64.35
194.152.64.68

Have you tried completely resetting the router and reconfiguring it?

10 seconds is all it took on a google search for the Orange DNS servers

Can I make a recommendation ,other than dumping Orange altogether, chnage to another DNS porovider. Orange's DNS service is a joke and took out my service for 3 days and "tech support" were a waste of space.

Chnage to OpenDNS

and it you'll get a MUCH better service.

Putting in the Orange Dns servers didn't actually help.
It solved the routers own self diagnosed DNS error but still only google pages would display (of the small number I tried).

thanks for the IPs , I will try them next time I visit the in laws. i think they've just gone back to their modem which works fine.
i don't understand why their modem works fine with orange but the router does not, surely they're using the same DNS IPs?

It may be that Orange like to tie down to MAC address of devices. I know they do this for the phone "service" on the livebox as they were unable to get mine working for 6 months, due to the wrong MAC address being in the records.
yes you heard it right, 6 months to change a databse entry.
According to Tech Nosupport, it was a very difficult job to do and VoIP is very complex.
Shame the muppet on the end didn't realise what my job is ;-)
Now with 02 and very happy...
