I have a customer that opened a second site, and they are connected over VPN. The users at the second site have a bookmarked web page that points to a server at the main site. Problem is they are not using the internal DNS, so they can't resolve the internal host name. Is there a way to add one "static" DNS entry instead of pointing the DNS to the server over the VPN? I don't want to waste bandwidth using all DNS over the VPN.

Edit the hosts file manually on each workstation. Open the file with Notepad and just follow the example given. Don't add a file extension either.

Path to file:
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Do they have a site to site VPN? Is there an internal DNS server at the main site? If the answer is yes to both questions then add the main site's DNS as you primary for the 2nd site. DNS queries are tiny and don't eat up much bandwidth.
