ok i'm install sms out to approx 50 remote sites just now. each site has a single nt 4 server as a pdc and is a seperate domain - they are to all intents seperate businesses so trusts isnt an option.
i'm using smssender accounts and thats works ok - squirts site down and ok.
this is using lmhosts
i'm trying to get away from this type of static file so want to use dns - is this possible or is lmhosts the best solution.
all our main systems are netware so we dont run wins etc
if dns is feasible what the tips - i've tried on one but doesnt work the smssender basically doesnt login - i can through a net use
