DNS Message:DNS RR set that ought not exist, does exist

I have received the following error message I do not know what is going on:

Registration of the DNS record
'48741d61-81f5-4fbe-9adb-95e840539327._msdcs.MRWEST."companyname".com. 600
IN CNAME server.MRWEST."companyname".com.' failed with the following
error:
DNS RR set that ought not exist, does exist

48741d61-81f5-4fbe-9adb-95e840539327 is listed as a domain under IIS virtual SMTP servers.

Does anyone have any thoughts?
