Hi,
I am having an issue setting up my Remote Web Workplace. It works fine internally but externally it only works off ip address( When I ping remote.domain.com internally it resolves to private ip(192.168.x.x). Externally when I ping remote.domain.com I get an error check host name.

I have contacted ISP to have a record entered pointing to public ip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

With the information provided, there isn't a whole lot that can be done to help you. You say that you can do a domain lookup on your internal LAN and it gets resolved, but it won't resolve publicly. This indicates that there is an issue with your public DNS for your domain and it sounds like it simply doesn't resolve.

Who hosts the DNS for the domain? Is this through your ISP or did you use a third party service, or are you running your own public DNS server?

Thanks for the reply but I got it sorted..The ISP had set up incorrectly and had only registered the reverse lookup (needed an A record).

Thanks,
