DNS event log issue with 2008

Anyone have a fix for a issue i am having with event viewer in 2008 for dns.

Seen this on a couple of machines that basically you can't access the dns logs. Confirmed its a issue with a default standalone 2008 server build, updated with just dns added

The error when you open the log is "Unable to complete the operation on "DNS Events". The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved.


Pretty weird but i am guessing it would have to be seen frequently.

Don't know if this helps, but have u tried increasing the size of your DNS event log file

Yep, that was the first thing i tried fiddling with, trying to do that cause errors as well.

I am guessing the error only appears on servers that aren't domain members as i can't recreate the issue on a member servers.

Weird that it hasn't been picked up by now by microsoft, guessing its going to be a PS call.
