I have a quick question. I'm running DNS on a win2k server which is part of mixed mode domain. i need to add a record to dns so that resolves to I don't know what kind of record (i'm thinking an A-record) I need to add and what exact info I need to input. I've tried adding an A-record and leaving it blank but that hasn't worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated

just put in an alias record and browse to the host(A) record of the web server

sorry left this out, when creating an alias record put in the first box, and browse to find the A record of the web server in the second box

Did you use the http header for your web sites ?
if yes, you need to mycompany.com into the sites, to make it works.

I never use the NT4 DNS, but the W2K DNS, is works fine, with the blank entry Host records.
did the ping mycompany.com,resolve to the correct ip address ?
