Hello,
I'm planning to migrate to Win2000, The environment will consist of 4 NT 2000 servers connecting via T3 ( 50 users total). My question on the DNS side, is there any limitation with choosing Forwarding? Is there something on the ISP side that should be considered ( Dynamic DNS Support)? Will DNS forwarding be fine with Active Directory? In the event the T3 goes down or Router blows up and looses connectivity to the ISP's DNS servers that will be the SOA ...will my users be able to login? Could I have one server as a secondary and another a Forwarder? Or should I have them each performing the same function?
Im new to the DNS world, and Minasi's Mastering Win2K wasn't entirely helpfull on the DNS side of things, while Boswell's Inside Win2000 Server, raised more questions than it answered.
