Hi Folks

How do I configure DNS to deal with the following situation:

We have an internal Windows 2000 network on IP range 172.16.x.x with a DNS. We have a remote site within the same range and users there can authenticate themselves with no problem. We implementing a new high speed link through a secure network from this remote siteand changing the IP range to 10.248.x.x. We also have a DNS server outside of the firewall to deal with requests from this remote site (first of many). NAT is implemented on the firewall.

Question:

How can I configure the external DNS server, so the remote site can authenticate themselves to Domain Controller?

Any help, much appreciated.

Not sure the issue, but you may need to setup VPN. quoted from
4. If you have two or more DNS servers in different locations, you will setup primary DNS and 2nd DNS servers point to themselves as primary and each other as secondary.

You probably aren't getting many replies because you are mixing Domain Authentication with DNS which are 2 different beasts. I am sure some windows forum will get you quicker results.
