O´reillys (might be spelled different) books about bind is VERY good. Read about it. If we were to explain all about setting up a dns-server we would get cramp by writing/explaining.
Set up the server and ask questions later. Our organisation´s DNS-server is set up on a Sun Solaris so perhaps I can help you when you are on your way.
