2 separate domains with a trust via ipsec.

Domain B 2003 win server 192.168.2.1/24

Domain A 2008 Win server 192.168.1.1/24

They share files and One domain remotely backup to the other. We also use Citrix and therefore the accounts propagate across one domain onto the Domain with Citrix.

My mail server is located on the citrix domain, strange issue that I cant' resolve is I can't ping from one domain to the other.

which therefore I can't ping mail.mydomain.com

I therefore setup a conditional forward on my firewall (pfsense), to ping the internal ip, (it works) now the problem is if my firewall is the primary DNS on Domain B, domain B accounts do not work correctly, (sharing specific files and folders) unless I point the dns to the local Domain B server

within WIN2003 DNS settings (domain B), how can I specify mail.mydomain.com = ip 192.168.1.***?

I can do it via firewall and it works but I run into other problems if I can do it within Windows DNS it would resolve this issue.

Thank You,
