I have inherited a W2K active directory network and I am trying to implement a W2k3 Exchange Server. The problem is that the DNS does not have all of the correct Active Directory Schema installed. I have done netdiag /fix to see what is missing and now I have netlogon.dns. Is there a tool to take all the entries in netlogon.dns and add them to the DNS server?

Thanks

Did you run domainprep and forestprep from the Exchange CD? Once you do that then your AD schema will be extended to support Exchange 2003, and you shouldn't have to do anything else before installing Exchange (though netdiag and dcdiag are recommended, after the schema has been extended).

Do you mean setup /domainprep and setup /forestprep? I only did setup /forestprep and the install failed.

Yes. You have to run both of them, and if they fail then there will be more troubleshooting necessary. Do you have any logs or error messages from when you ran the forestprep?
