Anyone know what this one means when doing a nslookup:
I'm curious of why it says "Non-authoritative answer"

C:\>nslookup
Default Server: dns.domain.com
Address: 195.1.1.1

> set type=mx
> email.com
Server: dns.domain.com
Address: 195.1.1.1

Non-authoritative answer:
email.com MX preference = 1, mail exchanger = mail.email.com

mail.email.com internet address = 196.1.1.1
>

Regards

Lars

I think typically you will get the "non-authoritative answer" when the info is cached and not received directly from the DNS server authoritative for that particular zone.

Doug
dxd_2000@yahoo.com
