Any suggestions for simple, easy to understand documentation on the DNS itself and also Subnet Masks?

I so this stuff does not come naturally to me, no matter how hard I try to pound it in to my head(!) I know the concept is not difficult but I get confused when it comes to the different record types and how they are used in different circumstances. %-)
