Hi all,
I am installing DNS and Active Directory on 2000 Advanced Server.  What I do is an install of the OS, then add DNS, then run dcpromo to setup the domains/directories.
Everything seems fine except that when you open DNS and create a new forward zone, the following folders are missing:
_msdcs
_sites
_tcp
_udp
If more info is needed I can provide it, just wondering if I have overlooked somethings.
Thanks for the help!!!

Another way to accomplish the same thing would be to run dcpromo before installing DNS. When you do this, Windows 2000 will automatically install DNS on the local machine properly.

It takes quite awhile for those files to show up.If you restart DNS and refresh a few times and possibly reboot after the zone is created they will show up.I have waited as long as 3/4 of an hour for it to happen.
The zone does need to be AD integrated.
