We have a Periphonics IVR supporting many different customer apps. Because we do not partition or dedicate ports to specific apps we use a DNISDriver app to link to the app that matches the DNIS. We are experiencing an issue where random calls are getting the wrong app. Specifically, one app that is taking incredibly heavy traffic to the tune of over 1000 a day. Is it possible that cacheing is happening or something to that tune? Has anyone ever experienced this ? It is driving me crazy and Nortel cannot determine if it is a legitimate issue as it is random.

do you have a limit as to the number of ports used on a perapp basis? is that one app failing 10 percent of the time? if so what is the percentage of the less used apps.. could be a single inbound path that does not deliver dnis ever time.. then it would point at the app with the most traffic..

We do not limit number of ports to apps.........the app that is undergoing heavy traffic is the one that is launched intermittently when another customer's DNIS is recevied...

is it possible to trac it to a trunk or route? i am thinking if the problem is nortel it's a trunk or route, not a traffic issue
