What am I missing? My RDB route 10 is set to use DCNO 1. In the IDC table my incoming DNIS values are set in DCNO 1 to route to a specific extension but the calls are coming and routing to call pilot option 0.

Can you dial 5204 and get to the right place? If yes,
turn on D-Channel messaging and verify the DNIS being sent.

how many digits is your switch setup to accept.. all entries in that table need to be the same length as your did digits from the provider

john poole
bellsouth business
columbia,sc

to test that setup:

put your dn in dcno 1, use an output of any other dn.. maybe a non did on key 2.. dial out and back in to your did.

john poole
bellsouth business
columbia,sc

if that does not work, post your cdb amd look close at rdr and net data

Added IDC entry 5204 5204 and it works from the outside.

your switch is just looking at the 1st 4 digits, so the ten digit entries will not work right

john poole
bellsouth business

8008312273 5225

This entry seems to be working okay

I am going to check with my carrier to see how they are sending this number to me. This switch is in such a mess.

8008312273 5225

it's routing on 8008, 8002477431 4421, try changing this to 8002 4421.. and do call the vendor and set up 4 digits to route off of..

john poole
bellsouth business
columbia,sc

Is this a PRI span? can you turn on D-channel messaging and see what you are receiving? That would be the quickest way?

johnpoole, my experience tells me the length of LDN0 is what dicates what it translates on. LDN0 is set to 4 digits, the last 4 digits of what is being sent should be what it works on. I have never had issues with the ANI data block and LDN0.

It is PRI. What are the commands an loads involved with looking at the d channel messaging.

Okay so I have talked to the carrier and it is getting really strange. They said they are sending me 1000 as the DNIS for 8008312273 but as you can see in my IDC table there is no entry for DNIS 1000. So how in the heck is that being routed to 5225 like it is suppose to. I have another technical contact at my carrier that i will be discussing with later today but this is way to strange.

Looks like through testing I have figured out that it comes in on 8008 and that is a problem. When you setup 8008 it asks for FRCE and if you set it to yes it clears data that was setup in NFCR in ld 15.

SO now i have really screwed it up. By setting the FRCE to yes it wiped out these entries

8008312273 5225
8008691159 4411
8008691213 5225
8008933491 5225
Now my IDC has 8008 5225 and all these numbers take that routing. This also leads me to believe that my carrier does know what they are sending me.

Okay, I hope I am not oversimplifying this problem, but according to your RDB 10, your NDGT is set to 1 when which means RDB 10 is only looking for a single digit DNIS. I would assume that the ACD is truncating your 4 digit DNIS (1000) and only accepting the last digit (0) and routing to Call Pilot. If you change NDGT to 4, does this solve the problem?

Okay so I restored the IDC table to
8008312273 5225
8008601669 5204
8008691159 4411
8008691213 5225
8008933491 5225

These now route correctly so it looks like the carrier is sending me enough digits for the switch to use the NFCR data to route the call based on the entire number?

What do oyu guys think?

Now I am really confused, but that is normal for me... Your FRCE prompt in LD 49 should have nothing to do with your Flexible Code Restrictions. Your received a FRCE prompt because you tried to enter a 4 digit DNIS range when you already had existing DNIS's starting with 8008. (i.e., when you entered 8008 as a DNIS entry, you already had 8008312273, 8008691159, 8008691213 and 8008933491 entered - by entering YES at FRCE, you told the switch to create a range and that all incoming digits starting with 8008 need to route to a specific DN - since Nortel is only looking at the first four incoming digits, this creates a conflict and your YES answer tells the ACD to delete all entries with more than 4 digits starting with 8008.) I work at an inbound call center and we have to use Ranges to cut down on our IDC table size. At our site we have approx. 250,000 RTNs in IDC 1!
