I have a dnis programmed to a DID extension which is dcfw to vm. Problem is when the dnis is dialed, it goes to mailbox but says the dnis number not the extension number. I.E.: x7898 is on a phantom ftr dcfw to vm and mailbox 7898 is in call pilot; dnis 3095 is in as a phantom that is dcfw to x7898...when calling xxx-xxx-3095 the vm system said "does not subscribe", so i added to second dn on mailbox but now it says mb 3095 not 7898? i know there is likely an easy fix to this, but im not getting it on my own :(. i have tried ncos 7 and cls fna sfa too, but no luck. i want it to say mailbox 7898 no matter which is dialed. FYI also have a toll free pointed to this dnis number.

The thing is that the PBX will always carry the originally dialed # into Voice Mail. No getting around it, this is by design. You could build and IDC table and assign it to that route and convert 3095 to 7898 then it will act as you want it to. Or just make the mailbox 3095 and build 3095 as a dummy acd wue and NCFW it to Mail

Just a thought and I might be wrong, but I think you could record the directory name of the MBox so that it will use it instead of the VM default.

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!

i did try the idc also when i first tried setting it up but it didnt change anything; i will try the vm recording and see if that does anything...thank you !!!
