DNI Programming

This seems simple and I thought I had it, but I'm stuck.

I'm trying to configure a Digital set for testing. All the other sets on our 3300 LX are IP. I ran an amphenol from J5 on the back of our Per node, with a DNI card in Slot 7 to a 66 block. I configured Card Assignment in the ICP for DNI Line card and programmed a 401 Single Line set with an extension. I clipped onto the W/Bl and Bl/W pair to test and get nothing when I go off-hook. I don't have a set connected yet, but I'm assuming it's like analog in that I should still be able to draw dial tone even without a phone connected.

If I run State 7 1 7 1 in the maintenance console, the state shows as Idle.

It wont work without the proper DNI set connected to the port. Analog lines do not work the same as DNI lines.
So if you're using a MC330 card this will not work with a butt set. You'llhave to connect not only a DNI set but the exact set type you've configured the circ for.
