I have a BCM50 Rls 2 with a mixture of digital and IP handsets; these are in a broadcast HG. I recently enabled DND on Busy on all sets as users did not like the phones ringing when their sets were busy. This seems to have worked ok for all DNs apart from one which then showed as Busy whenever anyone dialed that number internally, even though the set wasn't being used. Removing DND on Busy for that DN has removed the Busy indication. I would appreciate any ideas why the Busy indicator was being shown when DND on busy was enabled? The set is an IP2004.

Log into the system, highlight the extn and do a force firmware download to the set.

This should clear that problem

I have tried the firmware update but no change. However, when I looked at the set I noticed that one of the I/C lines is off-hook, which is presumably why the set appears to be buy. The problem is that I cannot see why it is off-hook or how to clear it.

I cannot find any stuck buttons. I have disconnected the set and then reconnected it and the I/C line remains off-hook. I am unable to determine what has taken the line off-hook - pressing the relevant I/C button has no effect, neither does the RLS button.

Rebooting the system has cleared the off-hook I/C line.

Thanks to option11newby and MagnaRGP for their suggestions.
