DND not working

My system is a NEAX 2000 IPS with NEC Dterm Seriesi phones. Currently it seems that DND is not setup to function on this system. I have been able to get a softkey programmed for the DND function but when pushed nothing happens.

Do I need to enable DND for the entire system?

You have to set Command 5110. This command enables you to tell the station in DND to terminate somewhere. Tipically, you would put the VM Pilot as the destination.

Programming example:

Command 1204>XXX>YY (1204 will tell you the tenant # of the phone, XXX represents the station # and YY represents the tenant #)

5110>YY>ZZZ (This command allows you to tell a given tenant # (YY) to go to a station of your choice (ZZZ).

Or, If you use MATWorX, you can click on the "Station" add-in, looks like yellow phone, and click on the "Class 2" tab. There are a bunch of "Provided / Not Provided" buttons. DND is in there.
