When I put my phone in DND, shouldn't it go right to voicemail if called? The caller is hearing 4 rings, then voicemail.

No. If u want it to go directly to vmail, use F984 (fwd to vmail). W/ DND your phone still rings x-amount of times before going to vmail but u just don't hear it.

DND only shuts off all audible signal execpt 1(the beep when a caller goes into your vm) on the t series sets it still flashes so you may have time to see the caller id..

Cursed and Blessed is the day that we decided telcom would be our profession.

There is another place that you should check...

First dial FEATURE 983 to find the DN of the voicemail

Go into system programming:
-> TERMINALS&SETS enter the extension number having issues
-> CAPABILITIES enter
-> FWD ON BUSY and enter
-> put in the DN of the voicemail

and voila... once the phone is busy, it will forward to the voicemail!

Doesn't help if the phone is idle and the user doesn't want to be disturbed. Best option is F984 (fwd to vmail). All calls will go directly to the users vmail.

YnotPhone meant F985.

Dasheen and x11 are correct, DND just shuts off the ringer for the most part.

If you want all calls to go straight to voicemail it is F984.

If you want all calls to go to Voicemail only while you are on other calls the Feature is DND on Busy.

I am stuck at work waiting for software updates so all I have to do on a Friday night is get on tek-tips and post.

My life is awesome!

*OOPS your right dbullion... Feature 985

I guess I should really proof read what I put down as an answer, people rely on correct responses from us!

Yes, my solution is only good if you are busy on your phone, guess I should have thrown that in there too...

Been there also, upgrading in the middle of the night, but not confident enough to play on my computer when upgrading... seen some weird things happen when upgrading and playing with computer!
