Hi all
Now I need some suggestion or helpful information.
In next month I must change DNA PC server and DNA from 5.0 SP8a to 5.1 SP2.
Now DNA work on NT4.0 SP6a and SQL 7 SP4
New PC will be with Win 2003 server and MS SQL 2000 SP3a.
My check list is:
On new PC after Windows and SQL installation
1 install DNA 5.0 SP 8a
2 transfer data from old DNA PC server
3 upgrade DNA from 5.0 to 5.1
4 load SP2 to DNA 5.1

Is my list correct ?
I’m not SQL engineer and I’m not sure that I can transfer data from SQL 7 to SQL 2000?
thanx to all for any suggestion
BR

Hi,

In order to use Windows 2003 server you should use DNA 5.2.

You could use the DNA export / import tools to transfer most of your DMG data.

Active diversions and messages will not be transferred.

Hi Kressmark

Thanks for Your reply

Other words
I can not load DNA 5.1 on W2003 server?
Why?
With DNA 5.2, I see one problem. This application need a license.
For upgrade from 5.0 SP8a to 5.1 on my test server no license was wanted
Now I must change PC and in the future (my be end of this year) I can buy DNA 5.2 but no now.
About transferring data:
All data from DMG are VERY IMPORTANT and very high priority have a EQU description in EMG

DNA 5.1 on Windows 2003 is not supported, thats why.

You should be able to buy DNA 5.2 by now...

/mk

The EQU descriptins in EMG must me transfered using SQL queries as there is no export tool in DNA for these.
