DNA client installation error - Access Violation on Server 2

Hi all,

I encounter an error on the DNA 5.5 client installation. The client is a Vista Business machine and I am using a domain user/local admin account to install. The DNA Server is a W2K3 Server machine

Here is the error:

Cannot access [HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ericsson\MRS\CurrentVersion] on "Server Name" due to access violation.

Does it have anything to do with the domain user account? or has anyone encountered this before?

did you map a network drive towards the DNA server with an account that has admin rights on the DNA server?

Try with another account who have the local admin rights on Server.

Thanks! you were both right. I had to use an account that had administrative rights on the server.

The installations went smoothly afterwards.
