Hello,
I'm trying to add a DN, that was used as a "0" key DN for a prior user, to another users TN/config. I've tried setting it as SCR and MCR and each time I get the error, "DN type conflicts with input DN type" and am not sure how to proceed (for giggles deleted and created the phone using the same TN, which didn't work). I am trying to do all of this through the OTM GUI opposed to command line and am admittedly ignorant regarding our Nortel system.

I realize this is somewhat vague but I'm hoping someone can advise me on a possible solution or location that I can potentially find a solution.
Thanks

I think you might be stuck inquiring about the DN and TN via command line.

Hit enter, and see

Hit enter, and see

>LD 20
REQ PRT
TYPE DNB
DN (the DN you are trying to add)

Post or state the results. If a "TN" appears in the result, print that TN

>LD 20
REQ PRT
TYPE TNB
TN (the TN(s) you are trying to modify)

It sounds like you are trying to add a DN that is already an MCR or something. Print the DNB of that DN and let us know what that shows.

Thanks for the help guys, my boss was able to get back to the office and, via command line, let me know that the DN was configured as a ACDN, and then change it back to a regular DN.

On a side note, do either of you know of any educational resources for a Nortel virgin such as myself? I hate not knowing how to work on something... so even though Nortel is now bankrupt, I'd still like to become familiar with the command line portion.

Thanks again to both of you.

Awesome, thank you very much.
