Dn Length

Is it possible to change the DN length (from 3 to 4) on a working system without losing any pgm info?

If you change from 3 to 4, the extensions will go from 221 to 2221 (for example), but I believe everything else remains the same. Only did this once about 3 years ago, so if I'm incorrect, someone else please chime in.

To be honest I was thinking the same myself I have only done it once and again I do not recall having to reprogram the system.

Only consideration to remember is that you can't renumber/change the length of the DN's in voicemail. You'll have to out/rebuild the mailboxes, unless people don't mind keeping a three digit mailbox number, but that may get confusing for the users.

if you have a call pilot just save the greetings on pc then do a reinstall when system reloads it will recognize the dn change.
