Hi
When changing the DN Length from 3 to 4 in BCM50, It appends number 2 in front of the current DNs. Is it possible to define append other number than 2?
Also, how does the renumbering works? I did try to renumber the DNs but it doesnt change anything.
It is probably using the number 2 as this is the next available digit. Try using the renumber function but it may take a whille to come into effect. I remenber using it before and it took quite a while for it to register.
When you renumber, you specify the range to be renumbered and what to renumber them to. You can't use this to change DN length, though. If the system is in production, changing the DN length will wipe out your mailboxes.
Thanks oldestgeek,
I am not changing the the DN length in the 'renumbering'. What i mentioned is, When i change the dn length to 4, BCM automatically add number 2 in front. means:
101 becomes 2101
102 becomes 2102
What i wanted to know is, can i control this number 2? I want append number 3 instead of 2. is it possible?
Why i mentioned the renumbering is, once the chnaged the DN length all the numbers changed from 3 digits to 4 digits as this: 2nnn, 2nnn...I wanted this 3nnn. So, i thought use the feature of renumber all DNs. But it didnt work for me.
If the system DN's started at 2 and DN changes were done then the 2 will be used but if the system at start up was started with 3 then the 3 would be inserted.
