UDB Ver. 7.2 on AIX 4.3.3

db2 "create tablespace DATA02 pagesize 4096 managed by database using (device '/dev/rdata02lv')"

Since this is a "Raw Device" ,really a logical volume, do I need to specify a size or will it use the available space in the LV?

Thanks in advance;
Koz

No, Just could not find where that was documented.... This time I subtracted the 128Meg and tried to alter another tablespace that was way under 64Gig.... And it failed....

When I looked back to see if there was more to it, I could not find the documention on the 128Meg, just the 53 byte notation. Wanted to see if anyone had a good explaination on what the space is used for and how much to set aside.....

I will check my math again and see if I made a mistake....
