When my user tries to access a newly created catalogue (EP Series 7), he gets an error "DMS-E-YV_SGINOLIB, Unable to locate the gateway 'msdba.dll'."
The DSN works perfectly well and connects successfully to the Database.
When opening a catalog from one workstation, the following error shows:
'DMS-E-YV_SGINOLIB, Unable to locate the gateway 'msdba.DLL.' The catalog is loaded on the LAN server. The client is able to open the same catalog using the Impromptu application loaded on the server.
Solution:
This error will be shown in Impromptu if the Microsoft SQL Server Client piece is not installed.
Once this is installed and configured properly, Impromptu should no longer throw the error.
