Hi experts,

Whilst trying to run a Cognos Impromptu report we are encounterering a Query Server Error.

DMS-GENERAL, A general exception has occurred during operation 'asynchronous open'

What does this error means ?? and how to resolve it ?

There are many reasons for this error to be generated, you'll probably need to provide more info before you'll get valuable responses on this one. Some quick things to check would be that your successfully connecting to the database, your middleware is up-to-date, all the fields you have in your report exist in the database, and any calculations are using the appropriate data formats.
