DMS - Document management system

I am looking to create a document management system but figured the folks here might know of good existing systems written in PHP that they could recommend.

I am looking to have several users upload/checkout/view files from a web server. Each authenticated user may be given special permissions for each document. Some might edit, some might view-only, and some may be denied an access.

I stumbled on to

but was hoping there may be other options out there.
