Hi All,

I a currently looking into creating a server to manage all our companies documents and am in need of some direction.

What I need is the ability to configure categories, i.e.
Tech support, General, Sales, Software and then be able to search within these categories. A way of editing documents (or submit changes) is also required. No forums, news, etc is needed.

- There are no restrictions here (this will be on a dedicated Linux server) although Open Source is preferable.
- We are currently using MS Word documents for everything, however I can convert these to HTML documents.
- Although I am very impartial to PHP/MySQL, I have no problems using anything else.

So far I've looked into:

Wiki- MediaWiki & Twiki
Content Management Systems - Drupal, e107, PHP-Fusion, CMS made simple
Document Management Systems - Contineo, Xinco, Alfresco

My last resort is to write my own PHP front-end, however this is time consuming and may be unnecessary if there is software that can already do this.

Any suggestions?
