Does anyone know if there are issues with running NI-2 between Option 81c and DMS-100. The 81 is on Rel 25.40B and the DMS is at NA016. The 81c occasionally rejects incoming calls with cause code #44 Req circuit / channel not available. I have witnessed the DMS attempt to send calls in to channels that are already in use (verified with T-Berd). This seems to happen most often when the pbx and CO switch are both initiating calls on the same T-1. The PBX never has a problem seizing trunks, the trouble is confined to incoming calls only. The ILEC blames the pbx and I the vendor vice versa. Every once in a while d-channel error logs comes in for the first DCH in the trunk group as well, and the ILEC blames that on the PBX too. Suggestions?

I'm no expert, but is it possible that the channel assignemnts are out of whack? Are these NFAS or FAS? Is there more than one T1 in this group? I've heard of problems like this in multi-span groups where one end has t1's swapped and/or they numbering is different for the members (i.e. the CO started numbering the B's at 0 and the pbx started numbering at 0)

Do you mean are these are these ISL...the answer is no. Not using service messages either. I believe the answer is NFAS. (Where do I check this to be sure?) Thy are built in the DMS as 5 seperate trunk groups with a DCH on every span, as this was the only way the ILEC could get it to work. We found initially that the DMS was set yeild to glare which was causing the majority of this problem but there is still something no qite right as it happens occasionally now.

Okay... if you're five separate groups with D channel per Span, you're configured as FAS (facility assocated signalling). I haven't seen a 'trunk number mismatch' with a FAS group. Good luck!

I would also like to add that I see a lot of ERR9032 messages. Is this indicating the CO is declaring the indicated channel in lockout or the pbx?
