DMP files being created in Cognos 8

Hi there,

We're having some serious issues trying to track why our cognos 8 MR2 application is sending out on average 7 .DMP files a day (in the \bin directory)...

It isn't a particular report that is causing it... has anyone come across this, and/or managed to troubleshoot the occurance of DMP files?

I have an ongoing support call with Cognos that is taking way too long!

Anything usefull written to the cogserver.log round that timestamp of those dump creations?

if you are certain that there is no problem with your setup/reports and everything is working as expected, you may consider disabling the BI Bus dump file creation. I don't recall exactly how to do it, but you can ask in your case with cognos support, it is not difficult to implement.
