DMOZ and the eternal wait

Has anyone here ever managed to get anything listed on DMOZ?

I've had something waiting for over 6 months now with no sign of any action at all.

Yep, I asked for an update after 3 months (I think), and I just asked for another.

I added it to my original thread too, just to make a point.
:)

I was prompted to check the status again as I got a newsletter this morning entitled "DMOZ Isn't open after all". It talked about there being suspicion that some editors sit on submissions as they themselves have sites listed in the category they edit.

Always the best way to re-use your own thread the editors seem to look a little more kindly on it. [smile]
I didn't look over at RZ because it can take a little while to sift through the status request threads. I do sometimes pop in to have a laugh at the "why won't you list my MLM/Affiliate/Diet Pill/5 identical" site rants though.

I read the WPW newsletter and there's a bit of a discussion on it at I Help You as well.

completely upto you. Nice point though and Cheers. Funnily enough same username as here (don't like to confuse myself too much [lol]).

IHY is a good place to learn SEO, I was a long time "lurker" there before joining (escapee from WMW) and one of two places I'd recommend to anyone.
