First thing would be to check and make sure the cmos jumper is on pins 1 and 2. Then check your manual on how to re-set it. Usually you remove all power to the motherboard and move the jumper from pins one and two to pins two and three, wait a few minutes, move jumper back to pins one and two, and apply power.

Also re-set the power supply by pushing in the power\on button and holding it there for a minute.

If all that fails then i double check that i have installed the cpu\heatsink\fan correctly.

Also try with only one stick of ram installed.

I would do everything garebo suggested, PLUS it wouldn't hurt to remove all the cards--video, network, etc...and reinsert them. Do the same for memory and your drive cables.

It never hurts to make sure EVERYTHING is snug inside.

What is the boot order in BIOS setup? It should be set to see the CD Rom first.
