HI..
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF I CAN CHANGE THE PERSON CONFIGURATIONS ON DIRECTORY CONFIGURATION AFTER I´VE INSTALLED IT?
I`VE HEARD THAT I CAN´T CHANGE MY UDF´S CONFIGURATIONS BECAUSE IT CAN DAMAGE MY SYSTEM.
I WANT TO PROVIDE MY OWS OPERATORS MORE FIELDS TO VISUALIZE
SUCH A FAX NUMBER OF A SUBSCRIBER.
I ALSO NOTICE THAT EVEN A INFORMATION SUBSCRIBER HAS BEEN CREATED THE OWS CANNOT SEE THE FILE, JUST AN ICON CROSSED.
I AM USING DNA 5.0.
MY BEST REGARDS

Hi,

Yes, it can damage your system if you change your current directory setup. It is still possible to do though if you first export all data, then change the configuration and finally import the data with dirpop and fit the right data type(s) to the right field(s).

If you just want to add a new field under person UDF's (like a fax field) that's ok, and it will not interfere with your current data.

About your info file: Have you added the ViewInfo function to one of your F-keys?

THANKS, BUT I´VE TRIED TO DO THAT BUT IT DIDN´T WORK;

I have had problems with info files. When tou want to view an info subscriber you press enter in OWS. My problem was that the imported file (in DMG) had a really bad filename like:
sdf´sdfsd´f´sdf.html

When you pressed enter (in OWS)the file didn´t show. When I changed the filename to something nice like:
file.html it worked fine.

You have to change the filename and import the file again in DMG.

THANKS NANSI AND KRESSMARK ;
DURING THESE DAYS I NOTICED THAT MY OWS OPERATORS HAVE ANOTHER WEIRD PROBLEM. SOMETIMES THE SYSTEM SHOWS A STATUS LIKE A INCOMING CALL, BUT NO OPERATORS CAN ANSWER THAT. ALL THE OPERATORS ARE FREE AND THEY ARE FOUR. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE FULL OF CALLS.

Answer to fellicciano:
Problem with incoming calls that cannot be answered is a MD110 fault. These patches for DOM (in BC11) can correct this: 96975 and 97516.
