I have this statement:

=DMax("[Worker ID]", "Resume Table")+1

Which populates the data entry form fine.

And all the information except the Worker ID is saved to the table.

I'm sure there is something just inane that I am forgetting to do??

Thanks!~

Have a look at your other post. Link Child and Link Master fields solve a number of problems.

Remou -

I'm not sure how to do that...I see a child and master in properties in the query but not sure what to do with it?

These are not properties of the query, they are properties of the subform control. This can be a little difficult to get, as it is the thin box around the subform. It is quite likely to have the same name as the subform, and if so, you can select it from the drop-down list of controls on the forms toolbar.

OK...I found it...grin

Now here is my issue...the Main Form is linked to the Subform by Job Number/Proposal Number.

But the field I want to populate and have the rest filled is the Worker ID?

OK...back to the Dmax Issue...this is not on a subform this is on the main form?

Ok. I see the problem. You have set the control source to DMax ... etc yesno? You must bind the control to WorkerID, which means that the control source must be a field. Use the Default Value of the control for the DMax bit.

Thank You Thank You Thank You!~

I knew it was something that just wasn't clicking!@~
