I have a report which I need to amend by compyning one of the reports in it and then replacing some of the variables with new vairables added to the query. I do get to add the new variable to some existing summations. However when trying to replace one old variable with the new one I get the errormessage from the subject field. I've read some posts regarding this with similar problems, but there were no solutions. My report has two data providers, with only one linked variable. I have tried creating all the dimension objects into new detail objects linked to the common variable. This was no immediate success.

I really hope for some guidance for some progress on this matter.

Thanks in advance.

If you have dimensional objects from a dataprovider that are not used in the synchronization (linking) you need to define them locally in the report as a detail and ensure they relate to the linked dimension from the same Dataprovider. If you perform this action for both DP's, then it should work.
Check whether adding objects does not influence the DP themselves (contextual problems)
