Hi,

when loading a tape to our DLT 7000, it stopped with some noise. I checked inside the DLT device and found that the tape was not wound up regularly. I cut the tape, ejected the cassette it and fixed the leader. When loading another tape, I relaized that this tape was wound up extremely slowly, then the device stops )all leads are blinking.

Any idea how to fix this problem (you can see from my description I am not a hardware specialist). Is there anything I can check, before I spend the money to have it refurbished?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

it sounds like a possible firmware issue, what version is it currently?

By what you have described, it would appear you have a faulty PCB or one of the motors has gone faulty.

Well thank you for your replies. It was a loose screw that blocked the motor. Needed to get a specilist to get it repaired.
