DLT4 tapes with Veritas 9.1

Perhaps these questions have been asked before and I appologies.

I have been using win2000 backup with a Dell external backup drive and DLT4 tapes successfully. I have moved to Veritas to be able to backup exchange mailboxes. Since then only new tapes works.

Is there any way I could still use the tapes used with my previous backup software? Any chance I could format the media? (the format options is grayed out when I tried this option).

Would version 10.0 allow me to recyble them?

Other then that I think this backup works great.

Check your media overwrte protection settings, sounds like you have it set to "Full", setting to "Partial" should resolve the issue for you. from the help menue search for "media overwrite" and it is all explained w/ instructions on how to configure.
