DLT v SDLT

Hi

We are thinking of changing our STK 9710 with DLT drives over to a ADIC i2000 with SDLT drives.

Question is though...can a SDLT drive read/restore data that has been backed up with DLT as we will still need to be able to restore the data held until the retention periods are over.

Think I've found the annswer....SDLT drives are backwards compatible with DLT...feel free to tell me though if I'm wrong :)

From a SDLT Drive, can can read DLT's not write to them.
